The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA Counselling ) 2022 has been set up by the Ministry of Education [erstwhile Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)] to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 114 institutes for the academic year 2022-23.
This includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 33 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). The Ministry of Human Resource Development, MHRD, has now announced NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) Ranking for top Engineering colleges in the country. IIT Madras has won the first position. IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay are in second and third positions, respectively. These three institutes have been securing the same ranks for the last three years. In the NIRF ranking 2022 for engineering released for engineering colleges in India, IIIT Hyderabad has debuted and also is ranked first among all the IIITs. IIITDM Jabalpur jumped to 80th rank from its previous 81st rank in 2020, while IIIT Allahabad moved to 87th rank.
