There are 20 IIITs set up in various cities throughout the country. Indian Institute of Information Technology Agartala is one of those 20 IIITs established under Public-Private Partnership. It was established in 2018, and it is currently one of the youngest IIIT in the country, mentored by the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala. The institute is currently functioning in NIT Agartala’s campus until the construction of its 52 acres permanent campus in Agartala is completed. It aims to impart knowledge at its highest level to students and make them valuable to various industries or companies in the future.
Students can pursue B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in IIIT Agartala through JEE Main entrance exam along with JoSAA or CSAB counselling. Over the three years of its existence, the institute has had students from various states. They have their first batch of graduates in 2021. IIIT Agartala Campus Facilities

IIIT Agartala Cutoffs
The JoSAA cutoff plays a crucial role in the admissions process for prestigious institutions like the NITs, IITs and IIITs. JoSAA recently released the IIIT Agartala cutoff for Round 6. Admission to the B.Tech programme at IIIT Agartala is solely based on the counselling conducted by JoSAA. Candidates eagerly awaited the release of the JoSAA cutoff, and it served as a benchmark for their chances of securing a seat at IIIT Agartala. The cutoff ranks may vary for each round of counselling, and subsequent rounds are released as per the schedule defined by JoSAA.
