The Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, commonly referred to as NIT Bhopal, was founded in 1960. It is an Institute of National Importance. The Institute was established to deliver the best engineering education. The Institute provides programs in a variety of specializations for BTech, BPlan, BArch, MTech, MPlan, MCA, MBA, and PhD degrees.

Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) or NIT Bhopal provides the required educational infrastructure which satisfies the minimum quality required for world-class technical education and well-equipped university which satisfies the needs of both students and working staff. The MANIT Bhopal facilities provide not just a qualitative academic life for students but also provides smooth functioning of other aspects of student life.
The NIT Bhopal facilities also include a spacious central library, well-planned auditorium, hostels, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, guest houses, canteens, medical dispensaries for health requirements, banking facilities, postal service centre, incubation centre and alumni association.
Boys Hostel The university has boy’s hostel facility that provides good hostel accommodation for the students. All the necessary facilities are available for the students.
Girls Hostel MANIT Bhopal facilities include separate hostel facilities for the girls’ students. Warden is available to take care of the students. Recreational facilities are also available for the students.
Medical/Hospital The NIT Bhopal facilities also include a medical dispensary present on campus that provides the required medical attention to the students and others along with an ambulance service for health emergencies. There are also first aid resources, injectables and emergency dressing care provided.
Gym Students of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal students can use the gym present inside the campus. They can visit the gym to do exercise to stay fit and healthy.
Library The NIT Bhopal central library has a vast collection of books, CDs, videos, periodicals, newspapers and back volumes, etc. The library has a full subscription to national and international journals. The library provides an extensive source of online resources and e-books for references with the university’s network infrastructure.
Sports MANIT Bhopal provides both indoor and outdoor sports facilities for the students. Games such as football, basketball, table tennis, badminton, cricket, etc are available for the student.
I.T Infrastructure The NIT Bhopal campus is well equipped with an IT infrastructure providing for good technological connectivity and internet penetration in all areas such as hostels, canteens, labs and sports complex.
Cafeteria The university has a canteen facility for staff and students. National Institute of Technology Bhopal cafeteria serves healthy and nutritious food to the students and faculty members.
Auditorium The former NIT Bhopal auditorium is fully air-conditioned with all facilities required for providing guest lectures , pre-placement talks, seminars and convocations.
Alumni Associations The NIT Bhopal alumni association helps in promoting and maintaining a good and strong alumni network with members working in several sectors and in several regions of the world with positions ranging from technocrats, scientists and entrepreneurs. This association helps to provide the much required technical, Industrial and financial support for the current students. 
Banks/ATMs State Bank of India is located inside NIT Bhopal and serves as a regular functioning branch. It provides banking services for bank accounts, deposits, ATM services and demand drafts.
