The university is currently functioning from its permanent campus situated in Langol, Imphal. One can reach the university by local transportation like taxi, and auto-rickshaw services are available. The university can also be reached by taking a bus service, which is approximately 3-4 km away from the varsity. The nearest railway station to Imphal is Dimapur, which is at a distance of about 210 km from the university.
There are no railway facilities that directly connect Imphal to other stations; one can take a bus to Dimapur railway station and then travel further through railways. The nearest airport is the Imphal National Airport, which connects many metropolitan cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. NIT Manipur Clubs/Committees/Societies
Sports Club: The Sports Club of NIT Manipur is responsible for the organisation and management of the annual sports festival of NIT Manipur. The members of the sports club invite participants from nearby colleges and universities to compete with each other in different sports like volleyball, basketball, football, cricket, badminton, table tennis, etc.
Cultural Club: The cultural club of NIT Manipur is in-charge of planning and conducting the annual cultural and technical festival of NIT, Manipur- Ougri. The cultural club also shoulders the responsibility of conducting events to celebrate important days like teacher’s day, engineers day, independence day, etc., on the campus.
Robotics Club: The Robotics Club of NIT Manipur encourages students who are interested in robotics and its mechanism. Various activities are performed by the students to learn the advancement in Robotics and its allied fields. Inter-collegiate events are also held in the university by the robotics club.
NSS: The NSS provides young students practical experiences to offer community service and help to develop society for its betterment. The NSS committee of NIT Manipur organises many activities and drives like tree plantation drives, cleanliness drives, blood donation drives, etc., to help society.
NCC: The National Cadet Corps is the official youth wing of the Armed Forces of India. This initiative is undertaken by the varsity to teach the students the values of cooperation, discipline and give them training for joining the armed forces.

Boys Hostel The NIT Manipur facilities for the accommodation of students include three hostels for accommodating the students admitted in NIT Manipur for various courses. Out of these three hostels, two hostels can be booked by the male students who reside elsewhere. The students interested in occupying a hostel room must fill the application form for the same during the admission. There are limited seats available currently in the hostel premises, and the institute is planning on the expansion of the hostel premises. Library One of the fascinating NIT Manipur facilities is the Central Library of NIT Manipur comprises several editions, books, study material, volumes relating to the subjects of engineering, technology, science, humanities, general affairs, etc. The students can access the e-library of NIT Manipur through their login id and password.
