Extra-curricular activities at MNIT Jaipur

MNIT Jaipur: Placements, Cut Off, Ranking, Fees 2022

Extra-curricular events and activities are an essential part of our education system. Students take part in these events to embrace learning outside their textbooks. These events help one to boost confidence and overall personal development, though the activity doesn’t need to align with your interests. Playing a video game or singing are more often than not listed under non-academic learning. But, if anything leads to stronger mind muscles and enhances one’s intellect, then they are encouraged at our college.

Staying updated about the latest educational events is just a click away

  • Exposure to the world beyond their limited life help form a new perspective
  • Helps in maintaining a balanced social and academic life
  • Proximity to more career paths
  • Enhancement of social skills
  • Contributes to unity and teamwork

These events, which are categorised under “non-academic”, hold great interest as they might impress your interviewee in your possible future interviews. They help you see the world and gain insights beyond your textbooks. One can be interested in their hobbies and engage in a learning process through these extra-curricular activities.

Therefore, at Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, students are encouraged to participate in and organise activities. There are various societies and clubs where students participate to develop certain skills and boost confidence according to their interests.

MNIT CACS (Creative Arts & Cultural Society) lays out a comprehensive, student-friendly platform to explore talent and enhance leadership and teamwork qualities. It encourages the students to exhibit their extra-curricular abilities through participation in various events that are organised throughout the semesters. The best entries from each event are showcased in the annual technical (SPHINX) and cultural fest (BLITZSCHLAG).

The various societies working under CACS are as follows:

Music and Spic Macay

The dancers, singers, and instrumentalists desire to land here. This society provides a consistent platform for members to express their enthusiasm for performing arts of interest. The club also has a wing for Spic Macay, which aims at preserving the country’s culture and heritage. Renowned celebrities are also regularly invited to campus for the resurgence of our country’s cultural heritage and pride

Dramatics Society

Dramatics Society is another enlivening club at MNIT Jaipur that witnesses overwhelming participation. It offers a plethora of opportunities for students interested in acting, directing, stage managing, writing, and designing or building sets, lights, sound, and costumes. The club is named DIL- Drama Is Life and organizes ingenious events throughout the year.

Fine Arts

This club is an embodiment of creativity and innovation. It aims to improve the creative facets and innovative skills of budding engineers. Various activities such as crafts and designing are inculcated throughout the year.

As technical college students, one of the most important skills we learn is how to play with int, float, and char to become competent coders. The geeks are helped by the technical society, which engages them in activities such as coding, ethical hacking, and other technical activities. Also, the students enrolled are encouraged to participate and assist each other.

Film and Photography Club

Capturing the ever-evolving, incessant world in a frame within a span of nanoseconds is like saving a part of the universe in our eyes. Thus, to capture some awe-inspiring facets of nature, art, love, compassion, the environment, and many more, photography skills play an impressive role here. This club provides a standard threshold for the students to play with camera lenses.

Words are just a collection of letters until they are given a proper meaning along with an appropriate tone. The Literary Society provides students with an opportunity to cultivate their poetic, artistic, and creative minds and showcase their prowess through various events like debates, group discussions and extempore. Students are taught the tricks of overcoming stage fright and being comfortable with public speaking.

Vyaktitiva Srijan & Think India

Youth, the backbone of any nation, are required to follow a path in order to become leaders in the future. As the name suggests, this society provides students with the environment to develop their personalities through various activities, including academic and social activities such as yoga and meditation sessions, lectures, youth fests, etc.

The concept behind the development of organisations or clubs in a college is to foster the latent talent a student possesses. Keeping this ideology in mind, the question about joining the best student organisation is actually out of context. This question can only be answered once you know what latent ability you have, and only then can someone recommend the best club for you to join in MNIT, Jaipur.

For example, if you are interested in enhancing your extra-curricular skills and grooming your interpersonal skills, then you must aim to join the Placement & Training Cell and also CACS (Creative Art and Cultural Society). Alternatively, if you are interested in teaching or counselling, you may join the Student Mentorship Program (SMP)
