Modes of IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech Admission 2025
The authorities accept applications for IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech admission 2024 on the basis of four modes – JEE Main, DASA, UGEE/SPEC and Olympiad/KVPY. Candidates will be able to choose their preferred mode of admission as per their eligibility.
- JEE Main Channel: Candidates who have qualified for JEE Main 2024 will be able to apply for admissions based on their secured scores. However, admissions will be given only in single degree programmes.
- DASA UG Channel: Candidates who are abroad and wish to study at IIIT Hyderabad will have to apply through this channel.

UGEE is conducted for dual programmes (B.tech and Master of Science) of 5 years in IIIT Hyderabad. Candidates must meet the IIIT Hyderabad UGEE Admission 2024 eligibility requirements, which are listed below.
- Candidates must have completed a class 12 in physics, Chemistry and Maths as the combination subjects.

Candidates must go through IIIT Hyderabad Undergraduate entrance exam pattern before applying for the examination:
- UGEE exam will be conducted in an online mode
- UGEE question paper will be comprised of two sections. Section 1 – Subject Proficiency Test (SUPR) which checks the subject knowledge and Section 2 – Research Aptitude Proficiency Test (REAP) checks the critical and creative thinking of the candidates.

UGEE IIITH 2025 Admission Process
- Candidates must be aware of the eligibility criteria before applying for the UGEE IIIT examination.

UGEE IIITH 2025 Counselling
Candidates who have scored well both in the entrance examination and interview will be called for counseling based on their ranking. Candidates must be present at the venue on the day of their counseling with original required documents. On the day of counseling, the documents are verified. Failure to carry the documents would lead to cancellation of admission to IIIT Hyderabad.
Seat Allotment
Eligible candidates who have cleared the entrance examination and interview will be allotted seats. The seat allotment process has multiple rounds. In each round, candidates will be given deadline to either accept the seat by paying the requisite fees, if satisfied or decline the seat. Candidates failing to pay the fees will lose their seats. If an applicant is not offered a seat in a Round, he or she may go to the following round. However, in order to go to the following round, an applicant must consent. For the second and subsequent rounds, a one-time payment (Rs 10,000 for seat allocation and Rs 10,000 as a tuition fee advance) is required.
