IIT Kharagpur Placements
The second phase of placements 2024 has started from the first week of Jan and will continue till April 2024. According to media reports, a total of 700 placement offers were made on the first day of placements 2023-24. Further, more than 19 international offers were received by students. Importantly, 6 offers with a package of more than INR 1 crore per annum were offered during IIT Kharagpur placements 2024. Over 61 companies offered various job roles to students, mainly in Finance, Banking, Analytics, Software, Core Engineering and Consulting sectors.
Earlier, as per the official placement brochure, 1,821 students were placed during the 2023 drive. BOSCH, Airbus, Accenture, Oracle, and many other renowned companies participated in IIT Kharagpur placements 2023. According to some media reports, the institute concluded its first phase of the placement drive 2023. A total of 300 companies participated in the placement drive and more than 1,600 offers were secured by the students. Apart from this, a total of 45 international offers have been grabbed in the first phase of IIT KGP placements 2023.
The institute registered 48 offers in the CTC range of Rs 50 lakh to Rs 2.64 crore. Major giants who participated in the IIT Kharagpur placements 2023 were Excel, Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, etc. The IIT Kharagpur highest package recorded till now is above INR 2.68 crore per annum. Additionally, 900 internship offers were grabbed from 140 companies that were part of IIT Kharagpur internships 2022.

IIT Kharagpur Campus Facilities
IIT Kharagpur facilities include separate hostels for boys and girls, a library, cafeteria, classrooms and labs, sports, auditoriums and many more. Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur also has sports facilities for students who want to participate in sports. Students can participate in sports such as hockey, football, cricket and athletics.
Apart from these, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur campus also has a fully modernized aquatic centre for sports like swimming and water polo. All everyday necessities can be found inside the IIT Kharagpur campus’ “Tech Market,” which is a one-stop shop. Five kilometers away from the IIT Kharagpur campus, there are markets that are conveniently reachable in case of special needs.
Girls Hostel IIT Kharagpur has 5 halls for girls which is fully furnished with modern amenities and has all of the necessary facilities.
Medical/Hospital The B.C. Roy Technology Hospital, which offers indoor and outdoor medical facilities, is available to campus residents. There is also a counseling center to which all students, faculty, and staff have access.
Library Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has a central library. There are various printed resources available at the IIT Kharagpur library, which also has access to and a subscription to a number of national and international print periodicals as well as a collection of theses, micro documents, CDs, video cassettes, and reports. E-books are available for use by researchers, faculty, staff, and students. E-resources can be accessed remotely using login information.
Sports Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has two stadiums. There is also an indoor squash court, indoor badminton courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and table tennis facilities.
