NIT Sikkim Courses , Fees and Eligibility
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Sikkim, offers various UG, PG and Ph.D courses, four years undergraduate programme B.Tech is the flagship programme of the institute, B.Tech programme is offered in five disciplines at NIT Sikkim CSE/ECE/EEE/Civil/Mechanical Engineering. Two years duration full-time postgraduate programmes in various areas in the fields of Science and Technology and Doctoral programmes also offered in various fields of Humanities, Science and Engineering. To be eligible for admission to UG, PG and doctoral-level programmes, candidates are required to meet the NIT Sikkim eligibility criteria.

NIT Sikkim Placements
The institute has released the 2023 placement rate for BTech. As per the latest placement brochure, 83.70% of BTech students were placed during the academic year 2022-23. Further, the BTech students received 100% internship opportunities in reputed organisations. The prominent recruiters of NIT Sikkim placements 2023 included Deloitte, Infosys, Oracle, Salesforce, etc.

NIT Sikkim Campus Facilities
The university offers a well-equipped facility to its students to make their learning experience a more skilful and memorable one. NIT Sikkim facilities includes individual boys and girls hostels, library, a well stocked library etc. NIT Sikkim campus has a medical centre that provide basic medical aid to students, staff and faculty members. Facilities available at the campus ensure students do not face any inconvenience. The details of National Institute of Technology Sikkim facilities are given below:
- Boys Hostel For accommodation of outstation students, NIT Sikkim has boys hostels. The rooms of boys hostels are spacious and ventilated. For the convenience of students, basic facilities like mess, furnished rooms etc. are available at boys hostels.
- Girls Hostel NIT Sikkim has individual hostels for girls. Girls hostels are well-furnished and offer a comfortable environment for students. All basic facilities are available at each girls hostel.
- Library The institute is still working on setting up a well equipped and digitized library. However, currently, they offer a normal library for student’s academic learning and reference purposes.
- Sports The campus has facilities for indoor and outdoor sports. The university conducts sports events at regular intervals. Students are encouraged to participate in sports events so that they can stay fit and healthy.
- Medical/Hospital The university provides emergency and primary health care to all its students round the clock. The medical unit is on campus and is accessible from the residential buildings as well as the medical buildings. Apart from that, students can also visit a local primary health care provider, just 3km from the campus. A district hospital is also in close proximity, in case students are required to go.
- I.T Infrastructure This university is the home to a PARAM Kanchenjunga supercomputer that the students often use. It is the fastest supercomputer across all the NITs. Costing almost ₹ 3 crores, it was built in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, in 2016.
