JEE Main 2023 April 10 Paper Timing
JEE Main 2023 April 10 paper will be held in two shifts. Candidates can check their paper timing in JEE Main admit card. The detailed timings of JEE Main 2023 exam are given below.

JEE Main 2023 Exam Day Instructions and Important Guidelines
Check all the important JEE Main exam day guidelines and instructions that need to be followed by candidates
- Candidates must reach the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on their admit card
- No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre without NTA JEE Mains admit card, photo ID proof and passport size photograph
- Candidates will be allowed to carry only the following items with them inside the exam centre
- JEE Main admit card 2023 downloaded from the NTA website jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Passport size colour photo
- Valid ID proof
- Water bottle (transparent)
- Ball point pen
- Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall after the test starts
- Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam centre before the paper concludes
- Candidates will be provided fresh masks at the exam centre. Candidate’s own mask will be disposed of at the exam centre.
JEE Main 2023 Paper Analysis for April 10 (Shift 1)
- According to the students the overall difficulty level of paper was easy.
- Chemistry questions cover almost all topics. The question was asked from polymer, biomolecules, chromatography. Inorganic and organic more weightage than physical,
- Maths was lengthy. The question was asked from mathematical reasoning.
- In Physics question was from the communication system, 11th mechanics focused more, ray optics and Thermodynamics
Mathematics – Easy to Moderate level. Questions were asked from all chapters with an emphasis on Chapters of Algebra & Coordinate Geometry. Questions asked from Matrices, Determinants, Vectors, 3 D Geometry, Straight Line, Parabola, Circle, Binomial Theorem, Progressions, Mathematical Reasoning, Statistics, Complex Numbers, Definite Integrals, and Differential Equations. The Numerical Section had few lengthy calculations but was easy.
Physics – Easy level. Questions asked from Gravitation, EM Waves, Wave Optics, Ray Optics, Electrostatics, Magnetism & Matter, Current Electricity & Modern Physics, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work Power Energy, Heat & Thermodynamics, Semi-Conductors, Communication Systems. MCQs were relatively easy. Some assertion reasoning questions were also asked. Overall a Balanced section.
Chemistry – Easy level. Inorganic Chemistry was given more weightage compared to Physical & Organic Chemistry. Questions asked from Electrochemistry, Ores & Metallurgy, Chemical Bonding, Mole Concept, d – block & f- block, Qualitative Chemistry, and Coordination Compounds. Organic Chemistry had some easy questions from Amines, Alcohols, and Phenols. Some questions from Polymers & Environmental Chemistry were NCERT Based.
JEE Main 2023 Paper Analysis for April 10 (Shift 2)
- As per students based reactions the overall difficulty level of paper was easy to moderate.
- Chemistry was moderate and NCERT based. The topics asked from topics like physical chemistry, nucleotide, polymer, isomer, chemical bonding, coordination compound.
- Maths paper was lengthy as like previous JEE Main 2023 shifts. The questions asked from JEE Main specific topics like, Vector 3D, mathematical reasoning, probability, circle, ellipse, statistics.
- Many students stated that Physics questions was formula based. Questions asked from Current, electricity, communication system.
Mathematics – Moderate Level. Weightage was given to chapters of Conic Sections and Calculus. Questions asked from Matrices, Vectors, 3D Geometry, Ellipse, Circle, Parabola, Binomial Theorem, Progressions, Functions, AOD, Areas, Differential Equation. Both MCQs and Numerical Based questions required lengthy calculations. This section was also tricky as per few students.
Physics – EASY level. Weightage given to chapters of Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Rotational Motion, Magnetism, SHM & Waves, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Ray Optics, Wave Optics, Semiconductors and Modern Physics. Numerical based questions were reported as Easy. Chapters of XII Class had more weightage. Assertion -Reasoning questions had mixed concepts.
Chemistry – Easy To Moderate level. Physical & Inorganic Chemistry had more weightage. Questions were asked from Amines, Aldehydes & Ketones, Polymers, Alcohols, Ethers & Phenols, Aryl & Alkyl halides in Organic Chemistry. Ionic Equilibrium, Solid State, Surface Chemistry, Coordination Compounds, Mole Concept, Electrochemistry, Atomic Structure, Chemical Kinetics. Inorganic Chemistry had questions from p-block and d-block, Ores & Metallurgy.

JEE Main 2023 April 10 Answer Key Shift 1 and 2
NTA will display the Provisional JEE Main 2023 Answer Key of the questions on the NTA website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/. An opportunity will be given to the candidates to challenge the Provisional Answer Keys with a nonrefundable online payment of ₹ 200/- per question challenged as processing charges. The provisional Answer Keys are likely to be displayed for two to three days after the exam is over.
