The JEE advanced exam will be held on June 4, 2023. The JEE Advanced 2023 exam registrations will be open from April 10 to May 5, 2023.

JEE Main 2023 Exam Day Instructions and Important Guidelines
Check all the important JEE Main exam day guidelines and instructions that need to be followed by candidates
- Candidates must reach the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on their admit card
- No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre without NTA JEE Mains admit card, photo ID proof and passport size photograph
- Candidates will be allowed to carry only the following items with them inside the exam centre
- JEE Main admit card 2023 downloaded from the NTA website jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Passport size colour photo
- Valid ID proof
- Water bottle (transparent)
- Ball point pen
- Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall after the test starts
- Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam centre before the paper concludes
- Candidates will be provided fresh masks at the exam centre. Candidate’s own mask will be disposed of at the exam centre.
JEE Main 2023 Paper Analysis for April 8 (Shift 1)
- The overall difficulty level of the JEE Main 8th April shift 1 paper is easy to moderate
- Physics section was easy and contains semiconductor, fluid mechanics (2 questions)
- Chemistry- easy, physical (Numerical), NCERT based, polymer, biomolecules
- Maths section was lengthy but easy which contains questions on probability, sequence and series and more.
- Memory-based questions asked in JEE Mains 8 April paper is based on session 1 pattern.
Physics: The paer was easy. Questions were asked from Kinrmatics, Laws of Motion, Rotational Motion, Work, Power & Energy, , Error Analysis, Capacitance, Magnetism, Semi-Conductors ,Current Electricity, Communication Systems, Modern Physics, Electrostatics.
Chemistry: The overall difficulty level was easy moderate. Organic & Inorganic Chemistry had questions directly from NCERT Books. Less weightage given to Physical Chemistry that too in Numerical Section. In Physical Chemistry questions were asked from Electrochemistry, Ionic Equilibrium, Chemical Kinetics, Chemical Equilibrium and Atomic Structure. Organic Chemistry had questions from Aldehydes & Ketones, Atul & Alkyl Halides, Amines, Alcohols, Biomolecules and General Organic Chemistry. Inorganic had questions from Co-ordination Compounds, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Group-18. Few questions from Organic Chemistry were tricky but not tough.
Mathematics: The paper was of easy to moderate level. Questions were asked from all chapters with emphasis on Chapters of Algebra & Calculus. Questions asked from Matrices, Determinants, 3D Geometry, Vectors, Progressions, Permutation & Combination, Probability, Binomial Theorem, Complex Numbers, Differentiation, Differential Equations, Definite Integrals, Area under Curves, Parabola & Circle.
JEE Main 2023 Paper Analysis for April 8 (Shift 2)
- As per student based reactions, the JEE Main 2023 April 8 shift 2 exam was easier than January attempt.
- Physics was easy. Many assertion questions was asked. Topics asked in Physics was Gravitation, Unit & Dimension, Moment of Inertia, Communication.
- Chemistry was Moderate. The questions asked from biomolecules, polymers.
- Most of the questions asked from 11th class syllabus.
- Many students stated that maths was calculative and lengthy but easy to moderate.
Mathematics – Moderately Easy. Mixed Concept questions were asked. Questions asked from Straight Lines, Parabola, Circles, Limits, Continuity & Differentiability, Differential Equations, Area, Matrices, Binomial Theorem, Probability, Statistics, Determinants, Vectors, 3D Geometry, Mathematical Reasoning, Complex Numbers, Progression Series. Both MCQs and Numerical Based questions required lengthy calculations. This section was Lengthy and Tricky as per few students.some students also reported this as Tough.
Physics – Easy level. Weightage given to chapters of Kinematics, Circular Motion, Rotational Motion, Laws of Motion, Rotational Motion, SHM, Gravitation, Heat & Thermodynamics, Wave Optics, Current Electricity, Electrostatics, AC Circuits, Modern Physics, Error Analysis, Semi-Conductors and Optics. Numerical based questions were reported as Easy. It was a Balanced Section.
Chemistry- Moderate Level. Physical Chemistry was given less weightage as compared to Organic & Inorganic Chemistry. Questions asked from p-block elements, Qualitative Analysis, Titrations, Biomolecules, General Organic Chemistry, Aldehydes & Ketones, Amines, Chemical Equilibrium, Atomic Structure, Solutions, Chemical Kinetics. MCQs were tricky compared to Numerical Section. More weightage was given to class XI chapters.

JEE Main 2023 April 8 Answer Key Shift 1 and 2
NTA will display the Provisional JEE Main 2023 Answer Key of the questions on the NTA website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/. An opportunity will be given to the candidates to challenge the Provisional Answer Keys with a nonrefundable online payment of ₹ 200/- per question challenged as processing charges. The provisional Answer Keys are likely to be displayed for two to three days after the exam is over.
