- To test comprehension, interpretation, analysis, appraisal, and appreciation, one Prose excerpt from the book Vistas out of two is used. (4×1=4 Marks)
- Use one of two literary samples from the novel Flamingo to assess comprehension, interpretation, analysis, inference, and assessment. (6×1=6) Marks
- Short answer questions (from Flamingo’s Prose and Poetry) must be answered in 40-50 words. Inferential replies should be elicited via critical thinking in response to questions. The answers to five of the six questions must be provided. (5×2=10) Marks
- Prose (Vistas) short answer questions must be answered in 40- 50 words. Inferential replies should be elicited via critical thinking in response to questions. Two of the three questions may be answered. (2×2=4 Marks)
- In 120-150 words, address one lengthy response question from Prose/Poetry (Flamingo). To examine extrapolation beyond and across the text, questions might be focused on an incident/topic/passage/extract/event as a reference point.
