Dehradun Institute of Technology was formed in 1998 by the Unison group and was established by Govt. of Uttarakhand vide Act No.10. It is a private institution that has partnerships with ASSOCHAM India, FICCI, and CII. DIT University and its degrees are recognized by the UGC, New Delhi, and by the Nepal Engineering Council. DIT University, Dehradun Campus Facilities
The infrastructure of the DIT University, Dehradun performs a significant role in the overall growth of students. The development and advancement of students are supported by a productive essential infrastructure. As a result, given that the laboratories and other facilities are provided, it is important that the applicant selects a university for admission in an acceptable manner.
In addition to the high courses and professional trainers, learners want good equipment and other infrastructure facilities. Keeping a strong environment for students is vital to their well-being and to concentrate on education. Good amenities may enable graduates to learn and improve. Various services and facilities are a tremendous benefit for college students and one of the main admission duties.
Boys Hostel The on-campus boys’ residences can accommodate 1,200 boys. All residences have modern and well equipped kitchens and dining halls where food is cooked and served in clean and hygienic conditions. Our dining halls can serve over 600 boys at any given time. To ensure pest-free surroundings, pest control services are utilized. Purified cold and warm water (during winters) is provided to the students. The Weekly menu is well planned in consultation with the Students’ Mess Committee to provide variety, nutritious and wholesome food to the students. Special meals are provided on festivals.

Cafeteria DIT University holds significant steps to ensure that students get nutritious and hygienic food. There are three cafes in the DIT University campus. DIT University offers students with all of the amenities and services they need to experience the lifestyle of the metro right within the university.
Sports Sports and physical activities are an integral part of our curriculum. The institute has a separate covered hall for indoor games like table tennis, carom and chess etc. Adequate facilities/ courts are available for volley ball, badminton, basket ball and cricket. If you are into fitness and pumping iron, then you should head to our fully furnished gymnasium ‘Shakti’ to stretch your muscles. The gymnasium has all the makings of a professional gym. You’ll find treadmills, joggers, cycles, multi-gym, rowers, cross-trainers besides others. The campus of DIT Dehradun is one of the most versatile campus with various activities and sports events conducted throughout the year. The students have access to various sports facilities such as basketball courts, badminton & tennis courts, football and a cricket field. Students can also benefit from professional coaching available inside the campus. Sports play an integral role in the overall development of students and due emphasis is laid on games and sports. Facilities for indoor games like: TT, badminton, volleyball, basketball exist and arrangements are made to send students to other colleges for outdoor games like cricket & football. The Institute is the current Atheletics champion of UTU games held on 24th February and Basket Ball Champion in recently held national sports meet at Gurukul University.
Library The Resource Centre is the hub of the library and information services of the University. It serves as a creative and innovative tool partner in supporting the teaching, learning, and research activities of the Institute. With the fast growing collection, both in digital and print forms using the state-of-the-art facilities, the Resource Centre is contributing to the University’s mission of becoming a world class University in the areas of Technology, Management and related subjects. The Resource Centre is housed in a newly built academic block which is Known as Vedanta, independent and spacious building. The pleasant ambience and the well-furnished Resource Centre with open terraces and spacious reading rooms create an atmosphere of serenity and thereby inspire the learning and research. I.T Infrastructure DIT University uses cutting edge technological computing facilities for education and research with over 1400 latest computers including 30 Apple MAC Desktops, 30 All-in-ones and 50 high end HP Workstations, 80 Mbps Internet connectivity and state-of- the art hardware and software. We ensure high quality education at University.
Wifi Presently, 300+ WAPs have been installed in the Campus to set up Wi-Fi zones in all important places and departments in the University.
Laboratories We have the state of the art facilities in the Central Workshop for providing students of all branches the concept and exposure of the basic and advance manufacturing techniques .Here in addition to meet the requirements of academic curriculum the students are supported for developing models and prototypes of their final year projects. The PG students are also facilitated for developing the R&D setups. Students are also provided complete tooling and technical guidance in manufacturing various types of vehicles to participate in national and international level competitions. One Uttarakhand Govt. funded project has been completed and submitted and the another is in progress. The important labs are Welding shop, Machine Shop, Carpentry Shop, Fitting & Sheet Metal Shop in addition to these we also have Foundry & Forging Shop and Special Machine Shop.
Auditorium The University Auditorium is a centrally air-conditioned, entirely soundproof setup and fitted with the latest equipment for all forms of presentations. A variety of small interactive auditoriums are also required for lectures, meetings, conferences. 500-seat capacity air-conditioned auditorium with audio equipment is required for performance on campus.The University Auditorium, is centrally air-conditioned with a fully sound proof set up and equipped with latest technology for all types of audio/video presentations. A number of small digital auditoriums are also available for seminars, meetings, workshops etc. 500 seated capacity Air Conditioned Auditorium with ultramodern sound facilities is available with in the campus for conducting functions.
Gym Gymnasiums are situated in both boys and girls hostels. A well-equipped, air-conditioned fitness centre at the hostels with the modern equipment and machines has made the perfect fitness and nutrition resources for students and teachers of the DIT University.
Banks/ATMs The Campus operates an in-house computer-controlled OBC bank. The OBC and Axis Bank ATM is located in the building, which offers ATM facilities on campus around the clock. The facilities can be used by students and university employees.

Medical/Hospital DIT University has well equipped functional Infirmary which caters for the First Aid and limited out patient medical services of the DIT University staff and students. The Infirmary is run and managed under the guidance of qualified and experienced doctors of the prestigious Max Super Speciality Hospital Dehradun. A Lady Medical Officer is available on campus during the better part of the day and Nursing Staff and Ambulance are available 24×7. Apart from Max Super Speciality Hospital, we have a tie up with few other prominent hospitals of the city which provide OPD, IPD treatment and diagnostics at discounted rates.
