Candidates who have successfully registered for the entrance exam can now download their WBJEE admit card 2020 by logging in to their account using application number and password. How to download WBJEE 2020 Admit Card?

Candidates can now download the WBJEE 2020 admit card/hall ticket by following the steps given below:

  • Go to the official website of WBJEE 2020 (wbjeeb.nic.in).
  • Click on admit card link
  • Enter your application number and password to sign in into the WBJEE 2020 admit card portal.
  • After successful login the WBJEE admit card 2020 will appear on the screen.
  • Candidates are required to read all the details given in the admit card carefully and download the hall ticket.
  • Take a printout of the WBJEE hall ticket 2020 for use in future.

WBJEE 2020 RANK vs MARKS vs COLLEGE

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was established in 1962 by Government of West Bengal in exercise of the powers conferred under article 162 of the Constitution of India in pursuant to No. 828-Edn(T), dated 02.03.1962. Subsequently, the Board was recognised as a Statutory Body vide West Bengal Act XIV of 2014 and was authorised for conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) in respect to admission to various institutions in West Bengal imparting education in Medical, Engineering and Technological courses. The Board is also empowered to conduct Common Entrance Examinations for admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate Professional and Vocational Courses both in the Undergraduate and Post graduate level. It always endeavours to advocate transparency in conducting such examinations through implementing effective state-of-the-art technology. WBJEEB has been instrumental in the admission process based on online application and allotment through e-Counselling since 2012. For the academic session of 2020-21, the Board is going to conduct the Common Entrance Examination for admission to Undergraduate Courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture Courses of different Universities, Government Colleges as well as Self Financing Engineering & Technological Institutes in the State of West Bengal.

85 – 95 marks = 1500 to 2000 rank

75 – 85 marks = 2000 to 3000 rank

65 – 75 marks = 3000 to 5000 rank

55 – 65 marks = 5000 to 8000 rank

45 – 55 marks = 8000 to 10000 rank

35 – 45 marks = 10000 to 15000 rank

25 – 35 marks = 15000 to 20000 rank

15 – 25 marks = 20000 to 35000 rank

Ranking Methodology and publication of Merit Lists

Based on the papers (subjects) appeared in the WBJEE-2020 followed by marks scored there-of, two separate Merit Ranks shall be generated by the Board as per the following method:

  1. General Merit Rank: (GMR)
  1. A list for General Merit Rank (GMR) shall be prepared based on the total score obtained in Paper-I and Paper-II taken together.
  • Ranking shall be done in the descending order of total marks scored in all the subjects. In case of ties, tie-breaking rules as given in 2.9 shall be applicable.
  • Separate reserved category merit position will also be indicated for respective category of students e.g. SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PwD Rank, TFW Rank.
  • Admission to all Engineering / Technology / Architecture Courses and to the Pharmacy Course in Jadavpur University shall be made based on GMR only. GMR is applicable for all category of rank holders in respect to admission.
  • Counselling/allotment of seat/admission will be done based on GMR only (not on category ranks). Category ranks are only for information to candidates.
  • Category ranks are generated based on the birth category information given by the candidates during online application. If during verification, any candidate’s claim is found invalid, his/her category rank will be cancelled and the candidate will be considered in general category with his/her GMR. Category ranks of other candidates will not be revised.
  • Pharmacy Merit Rank:(PMR)
  1. A list for Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) shall be prepared based on the score in paper-II only, i.e. Physics and Chemistry.
  • Ranking shall be done in the descending order of marks scored in paper-II. In case of ties, tie-breaking rules as given in 2.9 shall be applicable.
  • Separate reserved category merit position will also be indicated for respective category of students e.g. SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PwD Rank, TFW Rank.
  • Admission to all Pharmacy Courses except in Jadavpur University shall be done based on PMR only.
  • Counselling/allotment of seat/admission will be done based on PMR only (not on category ranks). Category ranks are only for information to candidates.

  5. Less negative marks in Mathematics and Chemistry taken together
  6. More positive marks in Mathematics for only the 2 marks questions
  7. More positive marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions
  8. More positive marks in Chemistry for only the 2 marks questions
  9. Less negative marks in Mathematics for only the 2 marks questions
  10. Less negative marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions.

Tie breaking Rule for PMR

  1. Less negative marks in Physics & Chemistry.
  2. More positive marks in Chemistry
  3. Less negative marks in Chemistry
  4. More positive marks in Chemistry for only the 2 marks questions
  5. Less negative marks in Chemistry for only the 2 marks questions
  6. More positive marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions
  7. Less negative marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions.

 Final Tie-breaking rule for GMR and PMR

After application of the Tie-breaking Rules as applicable if there be still ties, the same will be broken by the date of birth (DOB) of the candidates, with the older candidate having preference over the younger one.
