JISCE Kolkata Scholarships
The JIS College of Engineering, Kolkata offers scholarships for the deserving students as well as for the students with financial needs. There are various scholarships from which candidate can choose which fits him/her the most.
Some of the scholarships offered by the JISCE are:
- OASIS Scholarship: The scholarship is available to the candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC Category. The scholarship program is run by the Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal. Candidates can apply for the scholarship from OASIS Scholarship portal.
- Vidyashree Scholarship: It is a scholarship programme under WBMDC (West Bengal Minority Development and Finance corporation). The scholarship supports the deserving students with West Bengal domicile.
- Swami Vivekananda Scholarship: This merit cum means scholarship is offered to meritorious and economically backward students. The government has increased the amount of scholarship and has increased the budget from 45 crore to 2000 crore.
- Kanyashree k2 Scholarship: This scholarship is provided under the Kanyashree scholarship programme to the female students with a family income less than 1,20,000 per year.
- NER UGC Scholarship: NER UGC scholarship if offered by UGC for the students from North eastern region. Every year, 10000 scholarships are given among NER students. Candidates who win the scholarship get 7,800 every month till the completion of degree.
- Pranati Scholarship- AICTE: The scholarship is provided to the GATE/GPAT qualified students by the AICTE. The scholarship programme aims to ensure development of technical education in India. Candidates having a valid GATE/GPAT score will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs. 12,400 for the post graduation.
- MAKAUT Student Welfare Scholarship: Several scholarship programmes are run by MAKAUT, West Bengal. Candidates may visit the MAKAUT’s official website to choose a scholarship that suits the student best.
Other than these, candidates can also avail national level scholarships through the Vidyalaxmi portal, Vidya Sarathi Portal and the NSP National Scholarship portal.
