JEE Main 2024 Exam Day Instructions and Important Guidelines
Check all the important JEE Main exam day guidelines and instructions that need to be followed by candidates
- Candidates must reach the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on their admit card
- No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre without NTA JEE Mains admit card, photo ID proof and passport size photograph
- Candidates will be allowed to carry only the following items with them inside the exam centre
- JEE Main admit card 2024 downloaded from the NTA website jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Passport size colour photo
- Valid ID proof
- Water bottle (transparent)
- Ball point pen
- Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall after the test starts
- Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam centre before the paper concludes
- Candidates will be provided fresh masks at the exam centre. Candidate’s own mask will be disposed of at the exam centre.

As per the initial reaction of the students, JEE Main 27 January 2024 Shift 1 exam was easy to moderate , Physics easy Chemistry were easy to moderate . Maths was lengthy but the questions were Moderate. There were no questions asked from the deleted syllabus.

JEE Main 27 January 2024 Shift 2 Exam Analysis
As per the initial reaction of the students, the JEE Main 27 January 2024 Shift 2 exam was moderate , Physics and Chemistry were easy to moderate & Maths was Difficult. There were no questions asked from the deleted syllabus.
- Topics mostly asked in maths are: Vector, 3D, functions, straight lines, circles, hyperbola, ellipse, calculus, limit, conic section, matrices, complex numbers.
- Topics mostly asked in physics are: Mechanics, semiconductors, electrostatic, current, rydberg constant, wave, modern physics.
- Topics mostly asked in chemistry are: In Chemistry most questions were from Organic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry. Inorganic was less. The questions came from D block, electrochemistry. Physical chemistry questions were asked in integer type.

JEE Main 2024 January 27 Answer Key Shift 1 and 2
NTA will display the Provisional JEE Main 2024 Answer Key of the questions on the NTA website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/. An opportunity will be given to the candidates to challenge the Provisional Answer Keys with a nonrefundable online payment of ₹ 200/- per question challenged as processing charges. The provisional Answer Keys are likely to be displayed for two to three days after the exam is over.

As per the experts, the JEE Main 2024 cutoff may go up as the questions were easy to moderate in January 27 shift 1 exam. However, candidates must wait for the analysis of the complete exam. JEE Main 2024 cutoff will be decided by NTA after the exam is over in both the sessions – January and April. The cutoff will be released with the final JEE Main 2024 result after the April session exam is over.
