Indian Institute of Technology Ropar is situated at Ropar (also known as Rupnagar) in Punjab. The nearest bus station is Rupnagar Old Bus Stand in Chota Khera, about 8 kilometres from the campus. The institute strives to create an engaging learning environment for the students. Boys Hostel Indian Institute of Technology Ropar has three boys hostels – Mercury, Jupiter and Neptune.
