BITS Pilani courses
BITS Pilani offers four Integrated First Degree courses across the streams of Science, Technology, Pharmacy, Management and Humanities. These courses include BE, BPharm, MSc and MSc (Tech). Admission to all the Integrated First Degree courses is conducted through BITSAT or via national-level entrance exams. However, direct admission is provided to the state/ central board toppers. Apart from these, BITS Pilani also offers three higher degree courses, including ME, MPharm and MBA. The duration of all these courses is two years.
The Deemed University conducts BITS Higher Degree Online Test (BITS HD Online Test) usually in the month of August for admission to ME and MPharm courses or accepts admission via GATE/ GPAT scores. A variety of scholarships and concessions are available for the newly admitted students at BITS Pilani. The institute offers merit and need-based scholarships to support its students financially. Some of the popular concessions and scholarship schemes offered at BITS Pilani are as follows:
- Scholarship for Board Toppers: BITS Pilani offers 100%, 75%, and 50% fee exemption as a merit scholarship for the top three board toppers of their respective boards. The scholarship is valid only for the first-semester tuition fee.
- Merit in Qualifying Examination: Students who have obtained 90% or above in the aggregate of the qualifying examination are given a 20% of merit scholarship for the first-semester tuition fee. While the students who have obtained 80% or above and less than 90% in the aggregate of the qualifying examination are given a 15% of merit scholarship for the first-semester tuition fee.
