WBJEE has released the WBJEE 2024 counselling notification at the official website. The authorities will soon announce the WBJEE counselling dates 2023. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) will release the schedule of WBJEE counselling 2023 at wbjee.nic.in. Candidates who have qualified the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination 2023 have to complete registration to participate in the counselling of WBJEE 2023. The authorities conduct three rounds of WBJEE counselling 2023. JEE Main candidates will also be able to participate in WBJEE 2023 counselling. Allotment of seats will be done as per the merit of the candidates in WBJEE 2023 as well as selected preferences and availability of seats.
WBJEEB has announced the WBJEE counselling date 2023 at wbjeeb.nic.in. WBJEE 2023 counselling registration and choice filling will be open from July 20 to 25. As per WBJEE counselling 2023 date, the authorities will publish the mock West Bengal JEE seat allotment result on July 27. Moreoevr, with each round of seat allotment, WBJEEB will also release the WBJEE counselling opening and closing rank. WBJEE 2023 counselling will comprise of registration, choice filling & locking, seat allotment, and acceptance of seats. Candidates who qualify the WBJEE 2023 will be eligible to participate in the West Bengal JEE counselling 2023. WBJEEB will declare the WBJEE seat allotment result 2023 round 1 on August 1.

WBJEE Counselling 2023 – Jee mains and Wbjee Seats
Along with the WBJEE 2023 counselling registration, applicants will also be able to complete the choice filling process. After the conclusion of the choice filling process, the exam authority will release the WBJEE 2023 seat allotment result separately for all the rounds. The process of WBJEE counselling 2023 includes registration, filling choices, and payment of counselling fees

- All aspects of the counselling (registration, choice >filling, allotment, payment of seat acceptance fee etc.) will be in a centralized online process only.
- The counselling will be for allotment in the Institutes and courses as are mentioned in the approved Seat Matrix from the Competent Authority (DTE, Govt. of WB) and published on the Board’s website: www.wbjeeb.nic.in and www.wbjeeb.in
- Any candidate meeting the eligibility criteria and securing a rank (GMR/ PMR) in
the common entrance Examination (WBJEE-2023) and / or JEE(Main)-2023 can
register for counselling. - There will be three rounds of counselling: Allotment, Upgradation and Mop-Up.
- Registration is allowed at the beginning of Round–I and Mop-up round.
Registration is mandatory for counselling and securing an allotment. A non-
registered candidate will NOT be considered for allotment of any seat at any round
under any circumstances. - The Board will not convert/de-reserve any vacant seat in any reserved category,
i.e., SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B and PwD, to general/unreserved category in any round
of this counselling. - As per AICTE guidelines, vacant seats under the TFW category shall not be
converted to a general/unreserved category. - Registration fees for Round-1 counselling is Rs.500/- only and for Mop-up round
[see para 7.0 (c and d)], which is not refundable under any circumstance

Wbjee- Mop-up Round
a) Participation in Mop-Up round is optional.
b) Eligibility for Mop-up Round:
(i) All candidates allotted seats, paid seat acceptance fees either in Round-1
or Round-2, but not taken admission.
(ii) Not allotted in Round-1 or Round-2
(iii) Candidates not Registered earlier (Freshers)
(iv) All registered candidates except those who have EXIT/ Withdrawn
from the e-counselling system due to various reasons during previous
rounds.
c) A previously registered candidate is required to pay a fee of ₹200/– (Rupees two
hundred only) and con>irm his/her willingness to participate in the mop-up
round. Once a candidate con>irms his/her participation in Mop-Up round, the
decision cannot be reversed.
d) A new candidate having valid rank either in WBJEE-2023 and/or JEE(Main)-2023
is required to pay a fee of ₹1,000/-(Rupees One thousand only) for registration.
e) All participants (previously registered and newly registered) in the Mop-Up
round will have to give their choices of Institutes/branches afresh.
WBJEE 2023 counselling: Required Documents

Procedure of WBJEE Counselling 2023
Candidates must know details about the process of WBJEE 2023 counselling to know how to participate in the counselling. By being familiar with the counselling process of WBJEE 2023, candidates will be able to sail through the procedure without any hitches.
Step 1 – WBJEE Registration: Firstly, the candidates will have to register for the WBJEE counselling 2022 by visiting the official website wbjeeb.nic.in. Candidates have to make sure that all of the details submitted are correct since it cannot be edited after submission. It is to be noted that for all rounds of allotment, there is only one registration period. The given steps can be followed by the candidates to complete the registration process:
- Visit the official website of WBJEE 2023 counselling.
- Click on the WBJEE 2023 counselling registration link.
- Candidates will have to click on “New Candidate Registration”. Option to register through WBJEE or JEE Main or both will be provided to the candidates.
- Those candidates who opt to register through WBJEE 2023 will have to provide their respective application number, roll number, name and date of birth.
- JEE Main 2023 candidates will also have to enter their respective application number, roll number, name and date of birth.
- If both channels have opted, the candidate can enter the details of both examinations.
- Click on Submit.
Step 2 – Payment of Counselling Fee: After registration, candidates will be required to pay Rs. 500 as the WBJEE counselling fee. Candidates will be able to pay the fee in online mode i.e., debit card/credit card/net banking. It is to be noted that the counselling fee is not refundable in nature.
Step 3 – Filling and Locking of Choices: Next, the registered candidates will have to fill their choice of colleges and courses in online mode for WBJEE seat allotment. The choices have to be selected in the order of preference. Editing and locking of the selected choices have to be done before the specified final date. If the candidates are unable to lock their choices before the final date then the system will automatically lock the last saved choices. A printout of the filled choices has to be taken out for future reference.
Step 4 – Seat Allotment: The authorities will allot seats to the registered candidates on the basis of their merit, selected preferences and availability of seats through online, centralised WBJEE counselling 2022. Three rounds of seat allotment will be conducted by the authorities. Candidates will be able to check their allotment status after logging in using their credentials. Individual allotment letters will not be sent to the candidates.
To download the online seat allotment letter, the candidates will have to pay the seat acceptance fee through online (net banking/credit card/debit card) or offline mode (e-challan of Allahabad Bank). The seat acceptance fee of WBJEE 2022 counselling is Rs 5000.
Step 5 – Document Verification: Candidates who will be allotted seats through WBJEE counselling 2023 will have to report to their respective reporting centres and get their documents verified. The required fee also has to be paid by the candidates. The following list of documents have to be presented at the reporting centres for verification purposes:
- WBJEE result 2023 or rank card./ Jee Mains rank Card
- WBJEE 2023 provisional allotment letter.
- Confirmation page of WBJEE 2023. / Jee Mains
- Admit card or certificate of 10th standard (or equivalent) examination for name and age verification.
- 10th standard (or equivalent) mark sheet for English subject mark verification.
- Caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates).
- Physically challenged certificate for PwD category candidates.
- Income certificate (if applicable).
- Domicile certificate (if applicable).
- JEE Main 2023 result(if applicable).
- ‘Yes Upgradation’ or ‘No Upgradation’ option form.

Step 6 – Reporting to Allotted Institute: Finally, the candidates will have to report to their respective allotted institute for confirmation of admission. The provisional allotment letter issued also has to be presented at their respective institute. The candidates will also have to carry original and photocopies of their documents.
