PES University (PESU), established in 1972, is situated in Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India. The University was formerly known as the PES Institute of Technology, it was renamed in 2013 where it attained University status by the Government of Karnataka. PESSAT Exam
PESSAT Stands for PES (Peoples Education Society) Scholastic Aptitude Test. PESSAT Exam is conducted to offer admission to the students in the following programs such as: B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, BBA, MBA, etc.
- Registration for the same open every year in the month of October.
- PESSAT is conducted for B.Tech in the month of April-May.
- For programs other than for BTech, PES University, Bangalore is the only Test Centre.
- A Candidate can take PESSAT Exam only once in a year.
- There is no negative marking in PESSAT.

PESSAT 2025 Exam Pattern
PESSAT 2025 Exam Pattern is different for different courses. The examination will be conducted only in the online mode. It will be pen and paper based only for B.Des course. The duration of PESSAT examination is 3 hours for B.Tech and 2 hours for all other courses. Total of 180 questions are asked in B.Tech. In other courses, total 120 questions are asked. There will be no negative marking in PESSAT 2024 .The detailed exam pattern for various courses is listed in the tables below:

PES University Placements
As per the official website, more than 30% of students received an average salary above INR 15 LPA during the 2023 drive. The complete placement report is yet to be released. Alongside this, according to media reports, the PES University average package and highest package offered during placements 2023 stood at INR 17.99 LPA and INR 65 LPA, respectively.
The official placement statistics have not been released yet. However, the NIRF report 2024 has been released for Engineering and Management departments. As per the report, 1,199 BTech, 93 MTech, and 284 MBA students were placed during 2023 placements. The median package offered to BTech and MTech students was INR 8 LPA and INR 4.90 LPA, respectively. Further, the median package offered to MBA students during PES University placements 2023 was INR 5.60 LPA.
