Overall, the difficulty level of the exam was moderate to difficult.
Physics: Moderate , Chemistry: Easy to Moderate , Mathematics: Difficult

JEE Advanced 2025 Paper 2 Exam Analysis
Overall difficulty level: Moderately difficult
JEE Advanced 2025 Paper 2 was conducted on May 18, 2025, in the afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The paper consisted of a total of 51 questions, covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with five questions in each subject. According to initial student reactions and expert analysis, the overall difficulty level of JEE Advanced 2025 Paper 2 was higher than Paper 1.
Mathematics: Mathematics was the toughest section in Paper 2. Questions were lengthy. Questions were asked from the topics: Calculus, Complex Numbers, Circle and Parabola, Probability and Combinations, Vectors and 3D Geometry and Functions and Limits.
Physics: Moderate to High difficulty
Questions were asked from the topics:- Electrostatics and Current Electricity, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer, Kinematics and Laws of Motion, Ray Optics and Wave Optics and Modern Physics.
Chemistry: The difficulty level ranged from easy to moderate. Compared to Paper 1, this section was more balanced in Paper 2.

JEE Advanced Registration and Qualified Candidates Over the Years

A total of 54,378 candidates have qualified JEE Advanced 2025 exam. Out of the 2,50,236 who were declared qualified for JEE Advanced, 1,87,223 registered this year, and 1,80,422 appeared for both JEE Advanced 2025 paper 1 and paper 2 exams.
