Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai (ICT Mumbai) previously known as the University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT) was established in 1933 with the support of multiple industries. In the recent rankings of 2023, ICT Mumbai has been placed at the 5th position among the NIRF Pharmacy Category and 24th rank in Engineering category by NIRF 2023.

The institute has quickly uplifted to a premier institute over the decades and currently offers UG courses like B. Chem. Eng., B.Tech. (seven disciplines) and B.Pharma. and PG courses like M. Chem. Engg., M.Tech., ME, M.Pharma., and M.Sc. in 21 different specializations. ICT Mumbai also offers Ph.D. courses to students in various disciplines. Admission to the B.Tech program is strictly offered on the basis of the merits obtained by the candidates in the JEE Main or MHT-CET entrance exam and the JEE Main cutoff for admission is 737- 2,784, while the MHT CET cutoff is 125-158.

Also known as ICT Mumbai, the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai is an institution of higher education that is purely publicly funded. It was established in 1933 as the University Department of Chemical Technology, a constituent of the University of Bombay. ICT Mumbai Location 

The college is located on Nathalal Parekh Marg in Matunga.  It has excellent train, air, bus, and other transportation links to the rest of the nation. Furthermore, Matunga Railway Station (E) and Wadala Railway Station are 13 and 12 minutes away from ICT Mumbai, respectively. The distance between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal (CST) is 11.3 and roughly 12 kilometres, respectively, from the ICT Mumbai campus. To get to and from the ICT Mumbai campus, students can easily board taxis, buses, or local trains.

ICT Mumbai placement report 2023 is not released yet. However, according to the ICT Mumbai Engineering and Pharmacy NIRF report 2023, the median package offered during BTech and MTech placements 2022 stood at INR 8 LPA and INR 5.21 LPA, respectively. Further, the median package offered during ICT Mumbai BPharm and MPharm placements 2022 stood at INR 7.6 LPA and INR 4 LPA, respectively.

How to Apply?

Candidates who wish to apply to any of the courses offered by the ICT, Mumbai Maharashtra University need to apply for the same only in the online mode. The step-by-step application procedure is provided below:

  • Visit the official website of the ICT Mumbai >Maharashtra University.
  • Click on Register and register yourselves by entering the basic details such as name, mobile number, and email id.
  • On successful registration, click on fill application form.
  • Fill the application form by entering all the details carefully.
  • Pay the requisite amount of application fee either online or offline.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ to submit the application form.
  • On final submission, the confirmation page will appear on the screen. Download the same and take a print out and keep it safe for future references.

Admission to the undergraduate courses in the ICT University is usually offered based on CPT and 30 % admission based on JEE mains score only B .Pharma course admission on 100% MHT merit Basses. Shortlisted candidates will then need to appear in person for the counselling round in order to finally confirm the seat for Admission Follow these steps given below.
